Freelap versus Fusion Sport – No Contest

26

Accurate timing? Freelap was tested with the IVAR system and is a fantastic electronic timing option. It’s portable and far better than the set-up with fusion sport. Looking at the youtube, the equipment is cumbersome, expensive, and visually distracting. If you are doing a combine perhaps it’s worth bringing out a system like that, but for training? Freelap all the way. Take a look at the video of hurdles and compare the set-up of fusion sport. Simple, mobile, and still evolving. The future is looking bright for freelap, and I expect some advancements with team testing. Fusion sport simply is going to be a thing of the past in a few years, so make your choice with a less expensive and more practical approach to timing.
