Dotting the i’s

Interest– Stimulate it. Keep the athlete interested by challenging them, by testing their limits and capabilities. Never allow them to be comfortable.Involvement- All in or nothing. You can’t make a partial commitment and achieve anything worthwhile.

Innovation– Constantly look for new possibilities. Look at the world differently to find new and better ways to do things.

Intensity – It is a given. Without intensity there is no training. Think of it as how you go about doing what you do. Train with precision and sharpness.

Instruction– Teach constantly, coaching is teaching. Look for teachable moments and exploit them

Interaction – Communicate to connect. Ultimately our effectiveness as coaches depends on our ability to communicate a clear message that elicits the desired action.
