Who owns the workouts?

It’s interesting to see NASA up in arms from the checklist of apollo 13, making me think what problems will teams face in the future with regards to big data. Who owns the medical information? Who owns the performance records? What is private and what should be public? For example if a player is not on the practice and is on the sidelines that is information that could hurt the team if it’s known he is hiding an injury. Let’s say a prominent strength coach leaves a school with all his records and the new coach wants them. Does he have to share it? With monitoring players with GPS and other methodology the big question is going to be who owns the data.
