Cryosauna- Hype, Harm, or Help?

With the popularity of the use of cryosuana people are asking what is it actually doing? With Hyperbaric chambers being passed over for hypothermic chambers, are we just switching modalities? Is it placebo at 75 dollars a treatment? Is it going to be on the WADA list soon? Is it safe? We have known for years that no harm is going on, but what is specially helping? Is it accelerating the rate of muscle and soft tissue repair? Is it increasing glycogen stores? The parasympathetic reboot is talked about and I have seen the data with a few athletes to confirm Coach Francis’s third nervous system theory, but we need to understand fatigue as imbalance of adaptation, not a symptom list to erase.
