Open Source Screening

I wanted to make sure coaches had a mobility and flexibility screening system based on angles in degrees, instead of a numbering system that dilutes key data. The attached lower body screen allows coaches to import the video clips into a video analysis system and get actual degrees. The FMS needs to change and get away from a crude numbering system and start using technology. I currently use an array of systems to screen athletes and find that doing it 1-3 times a year for four years allows coaches to see if their GPP is working. Also, each test is part of training, meaning each score has training protocols and stretches/eccentric loading (sometimes manual therapy) to clean up the body. Finally, coaches should video the assessment with a video camera and analyze later. With large groups you need to minimize interpretation and save it for the office when you are not pressed for time. You can download the template here and feel free to modify it to your needs.
