Application of Adaptation


Without application, we are just biologists, not coaches or therapists. At the end of the day a good workout is what coaches are using to create the adaptations we see in textbooks and research. Currently the fad of marketing is to blog about something esoteric instead of real. Advancement to the profession is when the methodology increases the likelihood of working and or the results being higher. I have not come full circle but I have come to appreciate what I thought were the basics, but they are more cornerstones than simple solutions. A simple back squat done deep, correctly, and heavy is a very complicated solution but appears easy to internet guru that they are doing facial work and biogenesis of muscle organelles. Less is better when you are doing all of what the more is doing, and Dieter Rams mastered this.
