Sport Science doesn’t have too many rockstars but I am a big fan of Mujika’s work. It’s down to earth, based on real sport science (not cherry picked information) and very useful. In addition to his presentation, the other speakers did a great job of sharing quality discoveries for team sports. I currently have been looking at the conditioning of Rugby and high level soccer to see what ways one can monitor fitness. Much of the energy system training methods out there is bogus and I hope things get straighten out, but I am not holding my breath for change in the near future.
