Let’s be honest. Foot injuries are frustrating because the lack of agreement with many doctors and physical therapists. One expert will say this, and other expert will disagree and say that. High arch, flat feet, pronation issues, plantar fascia issues, achilles tendinopathy, stress fractures. What to do? Get this magic orthotic? Do this special exercise? Go under the knife? How many times have we talked to a foot specialist and all of the talk is about heel to toe rolling instead of forefoot landing? Nothing ruins the confidence to an athlete trying to get back from injury than the one person who specializes in foot care not knowing what there event is in track. Inspired from talking to good coaches and having the same frustrations, I investigated what technologies and approaches have worked consistently and pressure mapping is likely to be the solution as well as good manual therapy. Later this week I will upload a few resources.
