NFL: Not For Long

After reading that the NFL is debating a 18 game season and the union offering less offseason training as a negotiation chip, look for a rash of injuries for three years if this comes true. The problem is who is guiding both parties into the black hole? I think we are going to see a lot of non-contact injuries and we are going to see the value of strength and conditioning coach and the sports medicine staff. Look for advancements in GAIT + (PM and EMG combinations) and unfortunately teams getting wiped during the playoffs. 18 games is is not uncharted, but the realities is 23 games of football is a long time if you include playoffs. I am interested to see the final resolution and hope for a sound plan.
