Proof that Shoes don’t equal Speed

One of the most asked questions on the forum is about which are the best spikes for such and such an event. While I certainly recognize that a good set of spikes can improve performance over running in training shoes, I don’t think there’s too much difference between the top spikes from each major shoe company….at least not anything that would outweigh training, eating, and resting appropriately. Good spikes are like the icing on the cake. Actually, they’re probably not even that important. Need proof? Check out the Russian gals in this video go after it….full bore sprinting in high heels.
