Have you ever stopped to think why you do what you do in training? How much is experience and how much is science. I am always trying to figure out why things work. I know some training methods work and produce results but I am not ultimately comfortable until I know why it works. That does not mean I don’t do it until I find why. Of course, we would never get anything done that way. I firmly believe practitioners lead and scientists follow. But it is our job as practitioners to challenge the scientists to work with us to help validate or invalidate training methods.
Is there science behind this?
